While some of us paid a visit to the craft shop
on our walk along Johnson Street earlier this morning, the craft shop stayed
open just for our 2:30pm visit.
Did you know that the Bruce Rock Craft Shop has been operating from this location since 1978 – and that the building is called the Posa building because Mr Posa started a railway dining room, and was a fruitier and a tobacconist in the early 20th century.
Later it became a boarding house, then a greengrocer and finally a dress shop before being taken over by the craft mob. This scribe only knows all this because it is on a plaque out the front.
Anyway, it seems at least some of our mob knew the craft
mob’s families and there seemed to be quite a bit of yaking going on – and there were commensurate sales of craft goodies.
