Just before midday most of us hopped in the Bruce Rock
community bus and headed to the Ardath Hotel for lunch. The overflow took their own vehicles.
Like we do in most places, we pretty much took over the
joint. I felt sorry for a caravaning
couple who turned up for quiet lunch at a remote country pub only to find the
joint was heaving with 70+ year olds!
And one final addition to the mob turned up just in time for
lunch – Greg Keamy made the trip from his homes in Thailand and Cottesloe to
come and say g’day.
Anyway, we managed to eat a good amount of their food and
drink at least some of their beer and wine.
